Former St Thomas More pupil, Liam Read will take part in one of the Foundation's most daring fundraising feats on Saturday when he takes part in a skydive to raise money for the Alan Shearer Centre.
This is Liam's second fundraising effort on behalf of the Foundation, having already raised money as part of St Thomas More's winning team in St Cuthberts Care's Young Social Entrepreneur challenge.
The 21 year old, who is now in his second year studying Neuroscience at Leeds University, said; "After taking part in the Young Social Entrepreneur challenge raising money for the Foundation was a natural choice as I have direct knowledge of the good work it does".
Liam's skydive will take place Saturday, 20 February at Hibaldstow Airfield. If you would like to help support Liam and the Alan Shearer Foundation, please visit his fundraising page: https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/liamread1
